Due to the extended day, kindergarten is going to have a daily "working snacktime" in the afternoon. Students need to bring 1 healthy snack and water in a thermos with a straw or a water bottle with a pull top. The snack should also be easy to open and nothing that causes messy spills such as fruit cups, applesauce, yogurt cups, etc. We want to minimize spills and sticky messes in order to avoid ants and other little critters in the classroom. Students will have a separate place to put their snack each morning so they do not eat it during lunch. It would be easier if it is packed in a paper bag or container other than their lunchbox.
